Chiara Pepe

Chiara De Iulis Pepe is the granddaughter of legendary Abruzzo winemaker Emidio Pepe and represents the third generation at the helm of the estate. She studied Economics at the Sorbonne in Paris before deepening her viticultural knowledge in Burgundy. She took over winemaking at the estate starting with the 2020 vintage while also managing its international exports. Under her stewardship, the estate retains its founding pillars—pergola training, concrete fermentation, spontaneous yeast, no filtration, and long ageing—while adapting practices to address climate change.
