Daniel Boulud is a French-born chef and restaurateur who opened his flagship restaurant Daniel in New York City in 1993, which has earned two Michelin stars, Wine Spectator Grand Award, and James Beard Foundation awards including Outstanding Restaurant in 2010. Raised on a farm outside Lyon, he trained in top French kitchens like La Mère Blanc and Les Prés d’Eugénie before moving to the U.S. in 1981, where he served as Executive Chef at Le Cirque, earning Best Chef: New York City in 1992. Boulud leads The Dinex Group, overseeing multiple restaurants, and has been named Best Restaurateur in the World by Les Grandes Tables du Monde in 2021 for Daniel.
