Daniel Calvert is the Executive Chef of Sézanne at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi, where he opened the restaurant in 2021 serving French cuisine with seasonal Japanese ingredients, earning three Michelin stars and the No. 7 spot on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list. Born in Surrey, England, he advanced through kitchens including sous chef at Per Se in New York City (2009) and head chef at Belon in Hong Kong, where he secured a Michelin star and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants #4 with Highest Climber Award. He joined Four Seasons in 2020 as his first assignment, overseeing all food and beverage at the hotel while leading Sézanne.
