Dominik Hartmann is the chef and co-owner of Restaurant Magdalena in Rickenbach, Schwyz, Switzerland, which he opened in 2020 with his wife Adriana Hartmann and Marco Appert in a renovated historic building. Trained initially in pastry and confectionery, he advanced his skills under renowned chefs Andreas Caminada and Fabian Fuchs before launching his modern, inventive cuisine emphasizing regional, vegetarian flavors. The restaurant earned 15 GaultMillau points and 'Discovery of the Year' in 2021, followed by two Michelin stars, becoming in 2022 the first two-star restaurant in Europe to serve exclusively vegetarian cuisine.
