E.J. Lagasse is the son of celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse and serves as Chef and Co-Owner of Emeril’s in New Orleans, where he took over leadership in 2022 following an extensive renovation in 2023 that introduced a refined menu blending Creole heritage with modern techniques. At age 22, he became the youngest chef to lead a restaurant awarded two Michelin stars, Emeril’s, in 2025. He draws inspiration from Louisiana's local producers to craft dishes like barbecue shrimp tartlets and gumbo that evolve his father's classics.
