Eric Kohler is the Technical Director for Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Duhart-Milon in Pauillac, Bordeaux, having focused exclusively on these estates since 2020 after previously overseeing additional Domaines Barons de Rothschild (DBR) properties including Château Rieussec and Château L’Évangile. Born in Arles, Provence, he completed viticulture and oenology studies and began his career with his first Bordeaux harvest in 1989 at Château Poujeaux, joining DBR in 1994 as Deputy Technical Manager. Key milestones include overseeing the construction of a new wine cellar at Duhart-Milon completed in 2020, enhancing precision in vinification through increased stainless steel tanks, and leading the shift to organic viticulture at both Pauillac estates.
