i. Biography
Greg Denton is a chef raised in Rutland, Vermont, who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1996 and met his wife Gabrielle Quiñonez Denton while working at Terra in St. Helena, California in 1999. The couple co-owns OX Restaurant in Portland, Oregon, opened in 2012, which was named The Oregonian's Restaurant of the Year in 2013 and one of Bon Appétit's 50 Best New Restaurants in 2012. They won the James Beard Foundation's Best Chef: Northwest award in 2017 and were named Food & Wine's Best New Chefs in 2014, and co-authored the cookbook Around the Fire in 2016.
