Jean Lupatelli

Jean Lupatelli is the winemaker at Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé in Chambolle-Musigny, Burgundy, where he succeeded François Millet in 2021 after 36 vintages by his predecessor. Aged 43 at the time of his appointment, he previously led Domaine Decelle et Fils (also referred to as Decelle-Villa) in Nuits-Saint-Georges until early 2021. At de Vogüé, he has introduced changes including smaller harvest cases, a gentler elevator system replacing the mechanical pump, 50% whole clusters in red wines starting with 2021, and prompt malolactic fermentation, while emphasizing the domaine's old vines and exceptional terroirs like Musigny and Bonnes-Mares.
