i. Biography
Jordan Kahn is the chef and owner of Vespertine and Meteora, both in Los Angeles, California. He began his career at age 15 in Savannah, Georgia, attended Johnson & Wales University, and at 17 became the youngest chef at Thomas Keller’s The French Laundry, later working at Per Se and Alinea. In 2010, he opened Red Medicine, followed by Destroyer in 2016 and Vespertine in 2017, which earned two Michelin stars; Vespertine reopened as Vespertine 2.0 in April 2024 after a pandemic closure, and Meteora also holds Michelin stars.
