Kenny Atkinson is a Geordie chef-patron who has spent over 29 years in professional cooking, achieving his first Michelin star in 2008 as head chef at St Martin's on the Isle of Scilly, followed by another at the White Room in Seaham Hall. He opened House of Tides in Newcastle in February 2014, which earned a Michelin star in 2015, and in 2022 opened Solstice by Kenny Atkinson, making him the first chef ever to hold two separate Michelin stars in Newcastle. His culinary approach emphasizes modern British cuisine rooted in seasonal, local ingredients from the Northeast, combined with bold flavors and contemporary techniques.
