i. Biography
Lieven van Aken, born in 1987 in Antwerp, Belgium, began his career at Hof Ter Hulst in Hulshout before advancing to Commis and then Premier Chef de Partie at Comme chez Soi in Brussels in 2008. He moved to France in 2012 as Sous-chef at Les Prés d'Eugénie under Michel Guérard, continued at Château de Riell in 2015, and assisted Matthieu Dupuis Baumal at Domaine de Manville before taking over as Chef at L'Aupiho in Les Baux-de-Provence in 2018. Under his leadership, L'Aupiho earned a Michelin star in 2018 and Gault&Millau awards including 3 toques and the Jeune Talent 2021 trophy for the PACA region.
