i. Biography
Michel Fauconnet is the former Cellar Master and Production Director of Champagne Laurent-Perrier, a position he held from 2004 until his recent retirement after more than 50 years with the maison. During his tenure, he oversaw the introduction of notable cuvées including LP Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature NV (2018) and LP Héritage Brut NV (2024), while also managing winemaking operations at sister houses Delamotte, Salon, and De Castellane. Fauconnet joined Laurent-Perrier in 1973 as the house's third Cellar Master, following Edouard Leclerc (1950) and Alain Terrier (1983), and was appointed to the Laurent-Perrier Management Board in 2014. He has been succeeded by Olivier Vigneron, who worked as his assistant for 20 years.
