Philippe Dhalluin is a renowned winemaker who has served as managing director and wine director for Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. since 2003, overseeing production at Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Clerc Milon, and Château d'Armailhac in Bordeaux, as well as Opus One in Napa Valley and Almaviva in Chile. Named JamesSuckling.com Winemaker of the Decade in 2020, he is recognized for producing some of the most highly rated wines of his generation, including the 2010 Château Mouton Rothschild and 2013 Opus One. Before joining Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Dhalluin worked as winemaking director at Château Branaire-Ducru from 1988 to 2003, where he significantly improved the estate's reputation, and earlier trained under renowned French winemaker Emile Peynaud at Château Beaumont.
