Rafael Cagali is the Chef Patron of Da Terra, a two Michelin-starred restaurant in Bethnal Green, London, which he opened in January 2019 and earned its first star within eight months and the second in 2021. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, with Italian heritage, he trained at prestigious kitchens including Villa Feltrinelli under Stefano Baiocco in Italy, Martin Berasategui and Quique Dacosta in Spain, The Fat Duck under Heston Blumenthal, and with Simon Rogan at Fera and Aulis in London. His cuisine blends Brazilian roots, Italian influences, and modern European techniques, featuring dishes like quail tortellini with truffle, moqueca with turbot, and cachaça baba dessert.
