Sun Kim

Sun Kim is the chef-owner of Meta, a contemporary Korean restaurant in Singapore that opened in November 2015 on Keong Saik Road, earning its first Michelin star in 2017 and a second in 2024. Born in Busan and raised in Seoul, he began in his mother's Gamja-tang eatery before training under Tetsuya Wakuda at Tetsuya’s in Sydney and Waku Ghin in Singapore. Meta relocated to 9 Mohamed Sultan Road in 2023, blending Korean heritage with international techniques in seasonal tasting menus featuring signature dishes like Jeju abalone with kamtae, wakame, and lily bulb.
