Viki Geunes is a self-taught Belgian chef who studied industrial engineering before opening Restaurant Zilte in Mol in 1996 with his wife Viviane Plaquet, earning one Michelin star in 2004 and a second in 2008. In 2011, he relocated Zilte to the top of the Museum aan de Stroom (MAS) in Antwerp, where it received a third Michelin star in 2019 or 2021. He emphasizes puristic cuisine with high-quality seasonal ingredients, particularly seafood, and focuses on creating unique guest experiences.
