Wolfgang Puck is an Austrian-born American chef and restaurateur who opened his flagship restaurant Spago in West Hollywood in 1982, pioneering California cuisine with signature dishes like smoked salmon pizza with caviar and Chinois Chicken Salad. He expanded his empire with Chinois on Main in Santa Monica in 1983, introducing Asian-fusion fine dining, and CUT Beverly Hills in 2006, which earned a Michelin star. Puck has received two James Beard Awards for Outstanding Chef and catered the Academy Awards Governors Ball for over 30 years.
